Four inbred strains of Drosophilia melanogaster were subjected to different concentrations of the herbicide 2, 4, 5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid for three weeks after stabilization. Results indicated no differential genotypic response of the inbred lines, but definite statistically significant differences were observed between the population sizes of the control group versus the various doses of the herbicide.
